Subject: CORE CHARGE CHANGE ON RELINED HYDRAULIC SHOES

Effective July 5, 2004 core charges associated with some Bendix

relined hydraulic shoes will be eliminated.

The process for the elimination of core charges is as follows:

• Bendix Hydraulic relined shoe prices will no longer include a core charge effective July 5, 2004.

• A new pricing structure for the outright relined shoes will be instituted beginning July 5, 2004.

• "RAF" prefixed shoes will retain the same part number.

• A small number of shoes with the "R" prefix will be superceded to an outright relined "RAF" part number

going forward.

• Current shoe core returns must be shipped to BCVS no later than November 15th.

• All returns will be based upon customer core eligibility.

• Any shipments made after November 15th will not be credited to your core account and will be disposed of

at BCVS's discretion.

• Your BCVS Account Manager will provide you with details regarding your current return eligibility.

• To ensure timely and accurate credit processing, core returns must be made using the standard BCVS

Core Return Memo form (CRM) BW2313.

• Core credits will be issued through November 30, 2004 on brake shoes returned as part of annual stock

adjustments.
